AARP New York and The New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) Center for Healthy Aging (CHA) collaborate to present Building Disaster Resilient Communities.
This session will be led by SBP, a national disaster recovery and resilience organization dedicated to shrinking the time between disaster and recovery by reducing risk, increasing resilience, and improving the recovery process.
Join us on September 10, 2024, to learn about the many interlocking layers of forward-looking activities needed across local stakeholders to build more resilient communities as we face an increasing intensity and frequency of disaster events.
Through localized case studies from around the country and examples from SBP’s work, participants will develop an understanding of potential solutions to address particular challenges in their own community as we seek to build greater resilience across the disaster cycle.
