Tanya Ko Hong

Tanya (Hyonhye) Ko Hong, poet, translator and cultural curator, is the author of five books, most recently, The War Still Within: Poems of the Korean Diaspora (Kyso Flash, 2019) and Mother to Myself: A collection of poems in Korean (Prunsasang Press, 2015). Tanya holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Her work has appeared in Rattle, Beloit Poetry Journal, Cultural Weekly, great weather for MEDIA, Korea Central Daily News, the Aeolian Harp Series Anthology and more. Her poem “Comfort Woman” received an honorable mention in 2015 from the Women’s National Book Association. She is the winner of the Yun Doon-ju Korean American Literature Award, Pushcart Prize nominee and was a finalist for the 2018 Frontier Chapbook Contest.
