Wellness Kintsugi Workshop: Creatively Mending Life’s Brokenness

Friday, December 18, 2026 | 5:30pm to 7pm

25 West 43rd Street, 10th Floor, Suite 1000
between 5th & 6th Avenues, Manhattan

In-Person: RSVP

The Asian American Mentorship Providing Opportunities to Women for Empowerment and Resilience (AAMPOWER) at CUNY invites you to an in-person, experiential art therapy workshop led by Makiko Young.

We all carry scars, trauma, and challenges that society often views as negative. Kintsugi, the 400-year-old Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, offers a transformative alternative: celebrating imperfections and creating something entirely new rather than simply restoring what was broken. Join us to explore the “Kintsugi spirit” through creative expression and gain fresh perspectives on healing, resilience, and self-empowerment.
