Screening – Broken Rhythm

A Q&A will follow the screening with Alan Canvan (director/writer/producer), Matthew Polly (author of Bruce Lee: A Life), and Chris Poggiali (co-author of These Fists Break Bricks). It will be moderated by AAIFF Programming Director Kris Montello.

BROKEN RHYTHM is the first authentic documentary to delve into Bruce Lee’s unfinished film, GAME OF DEATH, while exploring the legendary martial arts icon as a real, complex, flesh-and-blood human being. Using GAME OF DEATH as a lens, the film offers a candid, unfiltered portrait of Lee as an actor, filmmaker, and artist.

Through exclusive interviews and rare archival footage, BROKEN RHYTHM examines the production of GAME OF DEATH and Lee’s ambitious vision for the project before his untimely passing. Through Lee’s story, the film grapples with larger questions of creativity, mortality, and the pursuit of artistic legacy.
