Civil Rights
May 26 at 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
The incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII is the most horrific violation of the U.S. Constitution against APIDAs. The incarceration violated almost all of the amendments in the Bill of Rights, as well as a few other Amendments. Almost the entire population of innocent Japanese Americans was incarcerated for over three years simply due to their heritage and ancestry. This workshop shows activities for students to learn how to analyze the Constitution through the lens of historic events, such as the wartime incarceration.
