Join us for Flying Horses/Sonic Threads, our Mini-Global Mashup Festival, to experience sounds exchanged along the Silk Road, an ancient trade route that crossed Asiatic and North African landscapes. Along with textiles and ceramics, rhythmic patterns, the sounds of lutes, zithers, and fiddles also spread along the Silk Road. Bringing artists from China, India, Iran, Palestine, Syria, and Turkmenistan together, Flying Horses/Sonic Threads will amplify the sonic and historical connections that cross these regions and cultures.
