Threads of Sustainability: Panel and Showcase

Join us for an evening of fashion as food for thought. In collaboration with Fempowerment Foundation, Asia Society presents Threads of Sustainability, an interface between the worlds of fashion and sustainability. Foregrounding the local traditions and artisans behind global fashion, the evening features a panel with speakers from the fashion industry, alongside a showcase of artisanal textiles and designs. Learn about the exquisitely-crafted textiles on display and listen to the stories of the women who crafted them, all while gaining a deeper understanding of global fashion’s interaction with South Asian history and tradition.
