Asian American Authors in Conversation—“We Are Multitudes,” community poetry readings with River 瑩瑩 Dandelion

Jun 5 at 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Come to “We Are Multitudes”—a community poetry reading and curated open mic space with River 瑩瑩 Dandelion.

“We Are Multitudes” is a community poetry reading and curated open mic space that centers the works of trans and non-binary Asiandiasporic poets. Held in a time of major anti-trans legislation sweeping the country, “We Are Multitudes” centers the ways that poetry lives as resistance and possibility in the face of targeted attacks and hostility. Poets will gather to share their new and published work, as well as discuss ways poetry and the literary arts can be utilized to gather community and create beacons of sustained hope for the future. We will hold our reading in the heart of Chinatown and connect our poetic work to the ways we can build and sustain local cultural and community organizing efforts.

River 瑩瑩 Dandelion is a practitioner of ancestral medicine through writing poetry, teaching, energy healing, and creating ceremony.
