Asian Americans and the Curse of Competence

Feb 15 at 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

For the first installment of the NYU Migration Network’s inaugural Public Conversation Series, Jennifer Lee (Columbia University) and Crystal Parikh (Director, Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU) will engage in conversation on “Asian Americans and the Curse of Competence.”

Held monthly on select Thursdays over the spring 2024 semester, the Public Conversation Series will bring together scholars, artists, and practitioners from within and beyond NYU for cross-disciplinary exchanges that cultivate nuanced understandings of migration and mobility, its histories, and its political stakes.
