SUMMARY:Committee of 100 Asian American Career Ceilings Initiative event
DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\, \nWe are pleased to invite you to attend the 52nd Committee of 100 Asian American Career Ceilings Initiative event on the “Findings of the Asian American Career Ceilings Survey – Part II” on December 11 at 6 pm ET  that will cover the differences of the results by gender\, age group\, seniority and profession and what the respondents said about what solution(s) they believe should be implemented by companies\, government agencies\, etc. \nThere have been very few surveys done in a professional manner on the issue of Asian American Career Ceilings that seek to capture the opinions and experiences of Asian Americans. Although we conducted an informal survey more than a year ago\, we made the decision to do this formal survey a few months ago. The results are thought provoking and should be valuable to both individuals striving to be successful and for policy makers who are tackling this problem. \nThe survey posed the following questions: \n\nDo you feel that your career success has been impeded in any way because of your ethnicity?\nIf so\, what form of career disadvantage do you feel you have been subjected to (check all that apply):\nWhat do you feel was the cause of the career disadvantage?\nOver the last five years\, on a scale of 0 to 10\, at what level of severity do you feel that you have been subject to Asian American Career Ceilings obstacles  (0 = no impact and 10 = severe impact)?\nDo you feel that the current tensions between the U.S. and China and the Asia hate incidences have had any impact on your career success? 0 to 10 scale (0 = no impact and 10 -= severe impact)\nShare a specific incident that you experienced that you feel is an example of an Asian American Career obstacle.\nShare your view of what solution(s) you believe should be implemented by companies\, government agencies\, etc. to counter Asian American Career obstacles.\n\n  \nSpecial thanks to Jeremy Wu\, a Committee of 100 member\, for his review of the methodologies we used and the technical validity of the results\, \nJeremy was a senior executive and manager with the federal government\, retiring from the Census Bureau after also serving at the Departments of Transportation\, Energy\, and Agriculture. \nHis pioneering Big Data work at the Census Bureau included an online mapping and reporting application that was recognized as a major U.S. statistical innovation at the United Nations in 2009. \nPart II will be held on December 11\, 2025 at  6:00 pm Eastern Time / 5 pm Central Time / 3:00 pm Pacific Time. There is no fee to attend this webcast. Please register for Part II at https://c100-12-11-2025.eventbrite.com \n\nWe hope you will join us. \nBest regards\,\nPeter Young \nChair\, Committee of 100 Asian American Career Ceilings Initiative \nCommittee of 100 Member and Board Member \n  \nPresenter  \nPeter Young  \nChair\, Committee of 100 Asian American Career Ceilings Initiative \nCommittee of 100 Member and Board Member  \n\nPeter Young is CEO and President of Young & Partners\, a corporate strategy and boutique investment banking firm focused on the life science and chemical industries.
