SUMMARY:2026 Building CAPACD Convention
DESCRIPTION:The Building CAPACD Convention is where we come together to turn community power into action. Every two years\, community development practitioners\, leaders\, and allies from across the country convene to strengthen neighborhoods and advance housing and economic opportunity in low-income communities. At this convening\, powerful voices from diverse backgrounds will share strategies for building inclusive\, equitable places and for preventing displacement and gentrification that disproportionately impact Asian American\, Native Hawaiian\, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) communities. We will share what’s working on the ground\, learn from one another\, exchange stories and narratives\, and build strategies rooted in place and people—while also celebrating culture\, honoring community joy\, and recognizing the resilience that carries us through challenging times.
