SUMMARY:HENRY VI: A Trilogy in Two Parts
DESCRIPTION:NAATCO returns to The Public with their production of Shakespeare’s trilogy\, HENRY VI: A TRILOGY IN TWO PARTS\, adapted and directed by Stephen Brown-Fried. Condensed into two parts and performed in rep\, experience this saga of a nation spinning wildly out of control. Part 1: Foreign Wars kicks off with the funeral of King Henry V\, leaving his infant son on the throne and sending the country into decades of spiraling chaos both abroad and at home. Part 2: Civil Strife picks up nearly 30 years later\, as nascent domestic feuds rapidly metastasize into the full-blown civil war known as the War of the Roses. \nUse code H6OUTREACH for $45 tickets – apply code before making selections/logging in.

SUMMARY:Understanding Communities Discriminated on Work and Descent: Global Perspectives and Emerging Normative Frameworks
DESCRIPTION:Across the globe\, millions of people continue to face systemic discrimination\, exclusion\, and unequal opportunities based entirely on their inherited status\, descent\, or ancestral occupation. While deeply associated with the caste system in South Asia\, these rigid intergenerational hierarchies affect diverse global populations\, including the Roma in Europe\, Haratine in Africa\, Buraku in Japan\, Osu in Nigeria\, and Quilombola and Palenque communities in Latin America. To confront this global challenge\, this seminar brings together scholars\, students\, practitioners\, and policymakers to foster a comparative understanding of Communities Discriminated on Work and Descent (CDWD).
