Diversability: Intersectionality with Queer Asian

What is it like to live at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities? Hosted by Diversability, a disability advocacy group within the library, our lineup of inspiring panelists will share their stories of how they navigated living with disabilities while intersecting experiences with queer and Asian identities.

Speakers:

  • Kim Chua is a social impact designer, Co-Founder of the AMBIV Collective, and Creative Director at the Asian Americans with Disabilities Initiative (AADI).
  • Na Eun “Jiggy” Yoon: name pronunciation: [nah-uhn] [ji-gee] [y-oo-n]. Jiggy is a college mental health motivational speaker
  • Akari Sunaga is a seasoned educator who brings together curriculum, critical thinking, and cultural arts.
  • Justin Tsang (he/they) is a passionate advocate for disability and intersex rights.

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • cPTSD
  • Type 1 Diabetes
  • Encephalopathy (secondary to preterm birth)
