Objective: To bring together scholars who are engaged in the study of South Asian communities in the United States, particularly those in the tri-state area. It aims to present research on South Asian communities including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The overview will comprise of demographic, social, and economic analyses of the emerging South Asian community. It will also feature presentations in the field of Arts, as well as issues related to South Asia.

We hope this conference will generate enough interest among students, teachers, leaders from businesses, community organizations, and governmental agencies so that continual research efforts can be sustained.
